Pelosi and the "Consumer Option" - If we weren't all crazy we would all go insane!

I am ashamed to admit that I am finding the antics of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid turning themselves inside out trying to come up with a health care bill that is acceptable to a sufficient number of their members to ensure passage extremely amusing.

The senate conference committee comes up with a bill without a public option and Republican Senator Olivia Snowe of Maine goes along with and they send it to Harry Reid who praises Senator Snowe for her "bi-partianship" and then immediately places the public option back in the bill whereupon Senator Snowe abruptly withdraws her support.\

Uh Oh!..."Danger Will Robinson, Danger!"

Harry Reid, in a ridiculous attempt to shore up a listing ship, then introduces an "opt out option" for individual states if the bill is passed.

Great idea!

What State Governor in his or her right mind would opt out of an enitlement program knowing that the citizens of that state will still have to pay the increased taxes for benefits they will not receive because their state "opted out" of the program.

Joe Liberman, the Independent/Democrat from Conneticut, immediately withdrew his support from Reid's plan upon hearing of this lunacy.

Nancy Pelosi, sensing that the health care ship has now hit an iceberg comes up with a great idea to make the "public option" more palatable to everyone concerned.

This past Monday, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi unveiled her ingenious idea which consisted of a new label for the “public option.” She called it the “consumer option.”

The speaker said “consumer option” conveys a more accurate impression than “public option.”

You know when politicians start changing names of policies that, for lack of a better word, "stink", they are in troubled waters. Also, it would appear that they did not read Shakespeare back in their school days. Remember, "A rose by any other name...?"

Well, when Nancy started to tak about her new "consumer option", she once again, allowed her mouth to outdistance her brain when she stated....

“I do think it better when people think of it as their option, their consumer option. Because public option is being misrepresented as being something that’s paid for by taxpayer dollars, which it is not.”

Now you really have to sit back and ponder what these politicians are drinking. If this new health care program will not be paid for by taxpayer dollars, then just who the hell is going to pay for it?

And these are the people who are going to run this trillion dollar health care program? What did Jimmy Buffet say..."If we weren't all crazy we would all go insane!"

Joy Behar - "seeds of doubt" about Obama!

That liberal lassie Joy Behar, formerly of "The View" penned an opinion piece for CNN entitled "Obama, smack those playground bullies!"

In the schoolyard of American politics, President Obama is the big, smart kid with all of the test answers who's being bullied by a bunch of Neanderthal ankle-biters from all sides.
Meanwhile, all the teachers are wondering, "Why does he take this crap? He's bigger and smarter than all the other kids."

It's no surprise the Glenn Becks of the world have been attacking Obama since the moment he stepped into the Oval Office. Beck and his blathering buddies on the right -- you know, the stinky kids in the coatroom who eat their own boogers. Always pick on the kids least likely to fight back.

That being said -- we did elect President Obama to change things, and so far the only thing he seems to be changing are his faux-patriotic lapel pins ... and his mind.

With the public option in the public toilet, not asking or telling about "don't ask, don't tell," the Gitmo Hilton still entertaining guests, and same-sex marriage so far off Obama's radar that it's now on his sonar, seeds of doubt have been planted in the left's collective mind.

If this guy can't get his own party to step in line on health care reform, they wonder, then how the hell will he get other countries to do what he wants them to do? Although in some ways, that might be easier then dealing with these Blue Dogs who hump your leg ... and not in a good way.

The sophmnoric and silly digs at the the conservative right aside, it is interesting to discern Ms. Behar's frustration with the almost one year old Obama administration...."seeds of doubt have been planted in the left's collective mind."

From your lips to God's ears Joy!

Columbia University School of Obama Journalism

President Obama rails against the "misconception" held by the viewing public that FOX News is is a "true" news network. "No, No, No" says the "Chosen One", FOX News is simply an opinionated arm of the republican right in this country and should not be treated as a real news network like ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC and those real news networks better not follow up on any of the stoies emenating from FOX.

Do you think anyone is paying attention to this ridiculous partisan rant?

You better beleieve they are!

The above video was put together by a group of Columbia University Journalism students so it is no surprise that the student raps benign pap that his liberal leftist professors and like-minded dorm-rats would applaud – from railing against complacency, to never losing touch with his humanity.

And what do we find midway through our illustrious journalism majors rap song?

“There’s no need to hear crazy, or create a false sense of parity, like Fox News and Hannity.”

Greg Gutfeld, host of FOX News overnight show RedEye, writing for Andrew Beitbarts Big Hollywood that...

"Now, it wasn’t a bad rhyme, but it was a bad idea – emboldened by the present comfort of conformity and driven by the need to prove to those hiring that the applicant holds the “right beliefs.” It’s silly and stupid, but also sad: these beliefs are cemented even before they enter a paying newsroom."

These kids are supposedly the "journalists" of tomorrow.  If this is how Columbia University is sending them into the real world, we had all better hope that news networks like FOX are around and remain viable for a long, long time!

Save the Planet - Cull your Children!

Fewer British babies would mean a fairer planet

Alex Renton (pictured above), a writer for Britain's Guardian newspaper, penned a column in this past Sunday's edition advocating population reduction as the only viable means of addressing the planet's alleged limate change poblems.

"The worst thing that you or I can do for the planet is to have children. If they behave as the average person in the rich world does now, they will emit some 11 tonnes of CO² every year of their lives. In their turn, they are likely to have more carbon-emitting children who will make an even bigger mess. If Britain is to meet the government's target of an 80% reduction in our emissions by 2050, we need to start reversing our rising rate of population growth immediately.

And if that makes sense, why not start cutting population everywhere? Are condoms not the greenest technology of all?  After all, based on current emissions and life expectancy, one less British child would permit some 30 women in sub-Saharan Africa to have a baby and still leave the planet a cleaner place.

It is certainly true that "fewer people equals a greener planet" is simplistic. In 2050, 95% of the extra population will be poor and the poorer you are, the less carbon you emit. By today's standards, a cull of Australians or Americans would be at least 60 times as productive as one of Bangladeshis."

I know that most of you will read this blog and simply shrug, thinking to yourself, "just another extreme environmental activist crackpot" from across the pond.  After all, you know those crazy socialist Brits!

But what if I were to tell you that an individual with similar, extreme, population control opinions, was working in the White House?  Would you sit up and pay attention then?

Well then I suggest you sit up and pay attention!

John P. Holdren is presently serving as President Barack Obama's 'Science Czar." Holdren's official titles are: Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy; Assistant to the President for Science and Technology; and Co-Chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. The longtime Teresa and John Heinz Professor of Environmental Policy at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government,

Holdren is no stranger to controversy. Holdren's radicalism dates back to the late 1960s. (Remember William Ayers and the Weather Undergound?) In 1969 Holdren wrote that it was imperative “to convince society and its leaders that there is no alternative but the cessation of our irresponsible, all-demanding, and all-consuming population growth.” That same year, he and (the now largely discredited) professor of population studies Paul Ehrlich jointly predicted: “If population control measures are not initiated immediately and effectively, all the technology man can bring to bear will not fend off the misery to come.”

In 1971 Holdren and Ehrlich warned that “some form of ecocatastrophe, if not thermonuclear war, seems almost certain to overtake us before the end of the century.”

Viewing capitalism as an economic system that is inherently harmful to the natural environment, Holdren and Ehrlich in 1973 called for “a massive campaign … to de-develop the United States” and other Western nations in order to conserve energy and facilitate growth in underdeveloped countries. “De-development,” they said, “means bringing our economic system into line with the realities of ecology and the world resource situation.”  “By de-development,” they elaborated, “we mean lower per-capita energy consumption, fewer gadgets, and the abolition of planned obsolescence.” "

Holdren & Ehrlich’s 1977 book, entitled Ecoscience,  described Holdren's thoughts on this issue as follows.

"Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society....It would even be possible to require pregnant single women to marry or have abortions, perhaps as an alternative to placement for adoption, depending on the society."

"Adding a sterilant to drinking water or staple foods is a suggestion that seems to horrify people more than most proposals for involuntary fertility control. Indeed, this would pose some very difficult political, legal, and social questions, to say nothing of the technical problems. No such sterilant exists today, nor does one appear to be under development. To be acceptable, such a substance would have to meet some rather stiff requirements: it must be uniformly effective, despite widely varying doses received by individuals, and despite varying degrees of fertility and sensitivity among individuals; it must be free of dangerous or unpleasant side effects; and it must have no effect on members of the opposite sex, children, old people, pets, or livestock."

The mainstream media has been spectacularly silent on Mr. Holdren's background and appointment as "Science Czar" by Presidient Obama.  Of course Holdren's post is not an elected one but just the same, our President's choice of administration appointments (and friends) is beginning to scare me! .

I have a very big problem with Obama's appointment of an individual who, for whatever reason(s), thought that the United States Constitution would allow for forced abortions, forced marriages, large scale sterilization of the population, and an accompanying massive campaign to "de-develop" the United States!

Mr. Holdren stated that his previous espoused policies back in 1977 were a result of his being "preocupied" with the problem of population growth in the United States. In light of the Obama administration's continuing grab for power via nationalization of our news, banking, car and health care systems, I ask the following question...

Unlike Mr. Alex Renton,  who is simply a columnist for a British paper, Mr. Holdren works at the heart of our national government and answers to the Presidient of the United States!  What if he suddenly becomes preoccupied with "population control" again?

U.N. to Investigate Human Rights Housing Violations in United States

The United Nations has assigned an official, “a special rapporteur on the right to adequate housing,” to check the New York City’s affordable housing. The rapporteur, Raquel Rolnik, is to tour the city for the next three days with housing advocates and city officials to “hear the voices of those who are suffering on the ground,” she said.

The United Nations Human Rights Council appoints a rapporteur, or independent experts, to investigate human rights conditions around the world. In the case of Ms. Rolnik, a professor of urban planning at the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, her “mission” is to tour New York City and six other places in the United States and to report back to the United Nations General Assembly about housing rights violations and advances.

It is interesting to note that Mrs. Rolnik believes that housing is a human right, (translation - "entitlement"), as evidenced in her statement that:

"Housing is a social issue before and more of a priority than housing as a commodity and a financial asset."

Mrs. Rolnik has indicated that the free market and mortgage companies alone cannot serve to ensure that all citizens are provided with their basic human right for adequate, affordable, and "green" housing.

If you read between the lines of Mrs. Rolnik's opinions you are, not surprisingly, faced with a marked similarity with our own Presidient's proclivity for the "redistribution" of wealth among our nation's citizens.

Unless people start to wake up to the realities of what is transiring in our government right before their eyes, we will soon wake up to yet another multi-billion entitlement program for the construction of environmentally correct housing to be made available to all those who cannot pay for their own housing.

Are you listening Mr. President?

Why do we need new license plates?

Here is a little something you may not be aware of.

An additional fee adopted in this year's state budget that is bound to cause a lot of road rage.

Starting in April 2010, all drivers in New York will be required to buy brand new license plates at $25 a set, regardless of whether they're driving a new car or not.

That's $10 more than the current price. If you want to keep your same license plate number, it will cost you another $20, making the total $45.

This particular fee begs the question, "Why? Why do we need new plates?"

According to the New York State DMV, this new plate purchase requirement is necessary for safety because “the reflectivity on many of the license plates issued in 2001 has worn out.”

It’s a safety issue…Good answer! Of course it’s also laughable.

Now for all of us who were not born yesterday, keep in mind that there are over 12 million registered drivers in the state, and the State Department of Motor Vehicles estimates this new fee will bring in $129 million.

Safety issue…I think not!

Just another way of the State placing their hands in our wallets and pocket books to remove what little money is left in here? You got it!

By the way, in case you haven’t noticed, license and registration fees went up 25% this past September.

Surprised? You really shouldn’t be.

Our New York State legislature is the most dysfunctional in the nation because, it systematically excludes rank-and-file lawmakers and the public from that process more than any other State legislature. Also, bills receive little debate in committee. They reach the floor only with leadership approval, and once they get there they are adopted without exception, or even our legislators having read them.

Is it any wonder then that…..

We also have the highest income and property taxes in the nation, with businesses, big and small, paying about 40% of our property tax burden.

Our State’s Medicaid program is the most expensive in the nation. Its cost is set by state policy and New York spends more than any State in per person, hospital, drug, and long-term and home health Medicaid cost.

We also have the most costly, per pupil, education system in the nation with our State Legislature dictating its cost (of funding).

I could go on...and on...and on...and on, but to what end?

Until the voters of this state (and nation for that matter) own up to our responsibility as citizens and finally recognize that these turkeys who are running around the State House in Albany work for us and not the other way around, we are doomed to continue to receive the type of elected government representation we deserve.

Think of it this way - If our New York State government were a McDonalds, the Governor would be the store manager, the State Senate would be working the counter taking orders and the State Legislature would be at the deep fry making french fries and flipping burgers but in the end, we would be utlimately responsible as we own the business!

Kevin Jennings "Acting Up!"

Last week, the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts and Harvard University  opened an exhibition entitled ACT UP New York; Activism, Art, and the AIDS Crisis, 1987-1993.

According to the Harvard Art Museum’s press release, the exhibition chronicles New York’s AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP) through an examination of compelling graphics created by various artist collectives that populated the group.

Given this exhibition's use of a poster (above) comparing Catholic Cardinal John O'Connor to a used condom, I would venture to say that Harvard University's press release describing this exhinition as, "an examination of compelling graphics"  is somewhat of an understatement.

Ppage 3 of Harvard Universitiy's press release for this exhibition lists the sposnors of this event as:

ACT UP New York: Activism, Art, and the AIDS Crisis, 1987-1993 has been made possible by support from The Office of the Provost at Harvard University and the following endowment funds at the Harvard Art Museum: The Agnes Gund Fund for Modern and Contemporary Art; the Alexander S., Robert L., and Bruce A. Beal Exhibition Fund; the M. Victor Leventritt Lecture Fund; and the Charlotte F. and Irving W. Rabb Exhibition Fund. Gifts and grants have also been provided by The Barbara Lee Family Foundation; The Open Gate: a Fund for Gay and Lesbian Life at Harvard University; Fred P. Hochberg and Tom Healy; Kevin Jennings; the Harvard College Women's Center, the Office for the Arts at Harvard, and Harvard Technology Services with special support from Apple Inc.

Kevin Jennings?

Yes, that's the very same Kevin Jennings who is our "Safe Schools Czar!" courtesy of President Barrack Obama!  Of course this is the same Kevin Jennings who publicly stated that he was inspired by one of the biggest promoters of pedophilia in the country—Harry Hay. Hay actively promoted sex between men and boys and supported the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA).

If you are interested in learning more abut Keving Jennings, link to my October 2nd blog "Who is Keving Jennings?" and "Schools use Shakespeare and Proms to aggresively recruit heterosexuality" on this site.

For a more complete description of the compelling graphics offered by this Harvard University exhibit visit Mass Resistance but be warned that the graphics are much cruder than the one of Cardinal O'Connor posted above.

Of course the mainstream media, busy as ever promoting the President's Health Care Plan,  has yet to address the appropriateness of this individual being placed in a position of influenece affecting our children in public schools throughout the country.  Remember Van Jones, our short lived "Green Jobs Czar" and John P. Holdren who still holds the position as Obama's "Science Czar?"

Hows all that "Hope and Change" working out for all of you?

Robert Reich

Back in September when President Obama addressed the joint session of Congress on health care, the Huffington Post carried the above video of Former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich stating what Huffingtom described as " the case for the public option in a very clear and succinct fashion."

In the video, Mr. Reich sings the praises of Obama's public option health care plan and recommends that everyone across the nation should make their voices heard in support of same.

Now what th Huffington Post and the rest of the liberal mainstream media will not tell you is that in an audio recording from a September 2007 speech to an audience at the UC Berkeley, Reich reveals what he believes an honest liberal presidential candidate would say about health care. The "truth" about health care as Reich sees it is quite shocking and as you can hear on the recording, he is definitely not kidding. Here is a transcript of the brutal truth about health care as Robert Reich sees it:

I'll actually give you a speech made up entirely, almost on the spur of the moment, of what a candidate for president would say if that candidate did not care about becoming president. In other words, this is what the truth is and a candidate will never say, but what a candidate should say if we were in the kind of democracy where citizens were honored in terms of their practice of citizenship and they were educated in terms of what the issues were and they could separate myth from reality in terms of what candidates would tell them:

"Thank you so much for coming this afternoon. I'm so glad to see you and I would like to be president. Let me tell you a few things on health care. Look, we have the only health care system in the world that is designed to avoid sick people. And that's true and what I'm going to do is that I am going try to reorganize it to be more amenable to treating sick people but that means you, particularly you young people, particularly you young healthy people...you're going to have to pay more.

"Thank you. And by the way, we're going to have to, if you're very old, we're not going to give you all that technology and all those drugs for the last couple of years of your life to keep you maybe going for another couple of months. It's too expensive...so we're going to let you die."

"Also I'm going to use the bargaining leverage of the federal government in terms of Medicare, Medicaid---we already have a lot of bargaining leverage---to force drug companies and insurance companies and medical suppliers to reduce their costs. What that means, less innovation and that means less new products and less new drugs on the market which means you are probably not going to live much longer than your parents. Thank you."

Here is the audio of his 2007 speech.

I can't for the life of me understand why the New York Times is not "tuned into" these contradictory statements by Mr. Reich.

Oh, did I forget to mention that Mr. Reich is now an "economics advisor" to President Obama?

ACORN Funding by Congress only a "CYA"?

Representative Michele Bachman (R-Minn), during an interview with Chris Baker on KTLK-FM in Minneapolis last week, stated that even though everyone thinks that Congress defunded ACORN, Congress actually pulled a "C.Y.A." act and defunded the organization only for the month of October.

According to Bachman, on November 1, 2009, the federal money starts flowing to ACORN again!

Barrack Obama...Meet Alfred Nobel!

The Nobel Peace Prize is an international prize which is awarded annually by the Norwegian Nobel Committee according to guidelines laid down in Alfred Nobel's will. The Peace Prize is one of five prizes that have been awarded annually since 1901 under the auspices of the Nobel Foundation in Stockholm for outstanding contributions in the fields of physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature, and peace. Starting in 1969, a Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel has also been awarded.

Whereas the other prizes are awarded by specialist committees based in Sweden, the Peace Prize is awarded by a committee appointed by the Norwegian Storting. According to Nobel's will, the Peace Prize is to go to whoever ...

"shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses".

The prize includes a medal, a personal diploma, and a large sum of prize money (currently 10 million Swedish crowns). There were 205 nominees for the Peace Prize this year.

It goes without saying that the Peace Prize Committee has absolute authority to review all nominations for this recognition and award to it whomever they deem fit.  That being said, I did some looking around to try and ascertain who the other 204 nominees were who didn't measure up to President Obama's outstanding work for fraternity between nations, his "abolition or reduction of standing armies and for [his] holding and promotion of peace congresses."

Unfortunately, the committee does not itself announce the names of nominees and information in the Nobel Committee's nominations data base is not made public until after fifty years.  I guess we will all have to wait until 2059 to find out who the other nominees were!

It is interesting to note that the deadline for submission of nominations to the committee was February 1, 2009.  As Senator Obama was sworn in as President of the United States on January 20, 2009, that gave him a whole 11 days in office as Commander in Chief at the time of the nomination deadline.  Obviously then, Obama's nomination to the Committee was, in all probability, submitted prior to his assuming his position of President.

Although not from lack of trying, I have been unable to identiify any source claiming to have nominated Preisident Obama for this award.  I am sure his nomination would make for some intresting reading as it would not be an exageration of facts to state that his curriculum vitae was pretty thin when he was elected President.

Having said the above, the question still lingers - exactly what has Barack Obama accompished to merit this award?

Although the committee has taken a wide interpretation of Nobel's guidelines, expanding the prize beyond peace mediation to include efforts to combat poverty, disease and climate change ( Jimmy Carter -2002 and Al Gore -2007), it now appears that the committee has expanded its interpretation of Nobel's guidelines yet again to include a "feel good" category, bereft of any actual accomplishment but replete with promises of hope and change accompanied by stirring oratory.

I can only hope that our President does not begin to believe his own press coverage in this regard when he finally decides to sit down and start making some hard decisions regarding Iran, Afghanistan, the Middle East, international terrorism, the falling dollar, rising unemployment rates, and the like.  Those decisons must be made with our nation's best interest at heart and not simply as a means of obliging the interests of others.
In awarding this Nobel Peace Prize to a sitting President, the Nobel Committee has, in effect, placed an additional, and heavy, constraint on our Presidient regarding his foreign policy actions.  Which, absent the sudden break out of a lasting world peace, the award should only be considered for heads of state after they have left office.

Where is Obama Going?

Am I the only one out here getting worried about which way our country is heading under the leadership of President Barrack Obama and his administration and friends.

We have Tony Rezo, a prominent fundraiser for and friend of Sen. Barack Obama and Gov. Rod Blagojevich who was convicted of fraud and money laundering after a high-profile federal trial provided an unusually detailed glimpse of the pay-to-play politics that has made Illinois infamous.

We have the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Obama's long time pastor, who blamed the attacks of September 11, 2001 on our own government, who alleged that the AIDS virus was created by our government to infect the black population and who publicly proclaimed from his pulpit "God Bless America? No, No, No...God Damn America!"

We have the Weather Underground Terrorist, William Ayers, who had a realtionship with both Barrack Obama and his wife Michelle, back in Chicago.

We have Obama's relationship with the community organizing group "ACORN" back in Chicago.

We have John Holdren, the Obama appointed "Science Czar" who once concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society.   According to Holdren, it would even be possible to require pregnant single women to marry or have abortions, perhaps as an alternative to placement for adoption, depending on the society.

We have Van Jones, the Obama appointed "Green Jobs Czar" who was a self admitted black nationalist, radical and communist.  (Van Jones resigned from his post this past Labor Day weekend.)

We have Cass Sunstein Barack Obama’s pick for “regulatory czar.” Harvard Law School Professor Cass Sunstein, may be the incoming president’s most popular appointment so far. Judging from his resume -- best-selling author, “pre-eminent legal scholar of our time,” and an endorsement from The Wall Street Journal -- I can almost understand why.  Except for the fact that the media has conveniently forgotten to mention the fact that Mr. Sunstein is a radical animal right's activist who has stated that all hunting should be prohibited by law and that animals should have the right to pursue legal redress within our court system assisted by human legal counsel.  No I am not kidding!

We have the mainstream media who have cast aside any semblance of journalistic integrity and ethical behavior in order to produce a seriously biased coverage of this President designed solely to support both him and his political agendas.

And now we have Kevin Jennings, Obama's new "Safe Schools Czar"  who complains that if your child reads an assignment by Shakespeare or decides to go to his or her school's prom, the child is not simply being educated or enjoying a school social event, he or she is also being "aggresively recruited" by the school to be a heterosexual!  Of course this is the same Kevin Jennings who publicly stated that he was inspired by one of the biggest promoters of pedophilia in the country—Harry Hay. Hay's actively promoted sex between men and boys and supported the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA).

Why this man Jennings is allowed to have anything to do with our nation's schools is beyond me but I do not find it surprising.  Our schools are already subject to Obama's policy of transformation over the past ten months as evidenced by the below videos, all of which have been shown in schools across the country.

And last, but certainly not least, according to the Associated Press, several Catholic African Bishops attending a Vatican conference are of the opinion that the election of Barrack Obama as President of the United States may have been a sign from God!

At the risk of sounding like I am "aggresively promotiong" heterosexuality, I would like to close with a quote from Shakespeare..."Something is Rotten in Denmark!"

Schools use Shakespeare and Proms to aggresively recruit heterosexuality!

We all know what's really promoted in our schools. Heterosexuality is promoted in our schools.

Everytime kids read Romeo and Juliet, or they're encouraged to go to the prom, or whatever it is, kids are aggressively recruited to be heterosexual in this country. And you know what? That's important.

The reality is is that in schools [inaudible] sexual orientation there would have been no gay people in the first place.

But there's still people out there who believe that myth, because you know what? It's easy to panic people if you make them think that you're after their kids.

___________________________

That's the opinion of Obama's "Safe Schools Czar", Kevin Jennings who I have previously blogged about on this site recently.

So now it appears now that if your child reads an assignment by Shakespeare or decides to go to his or her school's prom, the child is not simply being educated or enjoying a school social event, he or she is also being "aggresively recruited" by the school to be a heterosexual!

Of course this is the same Kevin Jennings who publicly stated that he was inspired by one of the biggest promoters of pedophilia in the country—Harry Hay. Hay actively promoted sex between men and boys and supported the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA).

Perhaps Obama is the "Chosen One" after all?

According to the Associated Press, several Catholic African Bishops attending a Vatican conference are of the opinion that the election of Barrack Obama as Presidient f the United States may have been a sign from God!

"If the election of a black as head of the United States of America was a divine sign and a sign from the Holy Spirit for the reconciliation of races and ethnic groups for peaceful relations ... this synod and the universal church would gain from not ignoring this primordial event of contemporary history which is far from being a banal game of political alliances", said the archbishop of Kinshasa, Congo, Monsignor Laurent Monsengwo Pasinya.

Archbishop Gabriel Charles Palmer-Buckle of Accra, Ghana said "We believe God has his own plans. God directs history...It's like the biblical story repeating itself,"  citing the Old Testament figure Joseph, who after being sold into slavery in Egypt ends up becoming a top official.

Perhaps Obama is the "Chosen One" after all?

Why the "Chosen One" wasn't chosen!

In the world of Obama, where personality trumps reality, last Friday's decision by the IOC to award the 2016 Olympics to Brazil was a bitter pill to swallow.

Initially the President was not going to attend the IOC convention in Coppenhagen, feeling secure in the knowledge that Michelle Obama, the First Lady of the United States and the Queen of Television herself,  Ophrah Winfrey could carry the day for old time friend Richard Daley, the perennial Mayor of Chicago.

As the IOC's final decision drew close, the President's special advisor and long time Chicago buddy, Valerie Jarrett, reminded Obama abut how Prime Minister Tony Blair personally appeared before the IOC in 2005 and caried the day for London when, at the time, it appeared that France was the favorite of the IOC members.  Surely, if the "Chosen One" himself apppeared before the IOC, the 2016 Olympics Chicago bid would be assured.  [Note:  Valerie Jarrett also highly recommended disgraced  "Green Jobs Czar" Van Jones for his short lived appointment and we all know how well that turned out!]

And so it was decided, the President would personally appear before the IOC in Copenhagen to make the case for Chicago.

As National Public Radio's Juan Williams pointed out last week...

"They thought was this was going to be the bookend to the Obama presidency after he wins a second term. In 2016 he would be able to walk from his home over to the games along the parkland on Michigan Avenue by the lakefront. And this was to be his moment. But what we see is that they expected that magic would strike, especially hoped that the African countries would vote in support of President Obama..."

Unfotunately, instead of magic, Obama was struck with a healthy dose of reality with the IOC's decision to award the 2016 Games to Brazil ast Friday.  In the initial round of voting Chicago received less that 17% of the total IOC votes and was the first city eliminated from the competition.

Mayor Richard Daley of Chicago reacted by stating, "I was shocked, I was disappointed, I couldn't believe it...It's not about Rich Daley. It's never about Rich Daley. You try to make it everything about Rich Daley. This is about America."

And then came the spin...

Some Chicago officials said anti-American resentment likely played a role in Chicago's Olympic bid dying in the first round Friday.  President Obama could not undo in one year the resentment against America that President Bush and others built up for years, they said.

"There must be" resentment against America, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said, near the stage where he had hoped to give a victory speech in Daley Center Plaza. "The way we refused to sign the Kyoto Treaty, we misled the world into Iraq. The world had a very bad taste in its mouth about us. But there was such a turnaround after last November. The world now feels better about America and about Americans. That's why I thought the president's going was the deal-maker."

State Rep. Susana Mendoza (D-Chicago) said she saw firsthand the resentment against America five years ago when she was in Rio de Janeiro. "I feel in my gut that this vote today was political and mean-spirited," she said.  "I travel a lot. ... I thought we had really turned a corner with the election of President Obama. People are so much more welcoming of Americans now. But this isn't the people of those countries. This is the leaders still living with outdated impressions of Americans."

U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) said she was approached by a consul general at the plaza as they waited for word Friday. "He said ... he was hearing that there wasn't enough time for Barack Obama to dispel the old image. ... "

Democrat Senator Rowland Burris of Illinois, the Senator who was appointed to fill President Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat, blames George Bush for Chicago not getting the Olympics in 2016. Burris stated in an interview, shortly after the announcement, that "...the image of the U. S. has been so tarnished in the last 8 years that, even Barack Obama making an unprecedented pitch for the games could not overcome the hatred the world has for us as a result of George Bush."

President Bush lost Chicago its bid for the 2016 Games?

Of course all of the above is nothing more than liberal garbage designed to lessen any adverse imact the IOC's decision could have on the "World of Obama" and his leftist agenda back here in the States.

Now back to reality.  The real reason Chicago, along with Tokyo and Madrid failed in their bids for the 2016 Games was a simple one.

"Rio ran away with it," said Ed Hula, who runs the venerable Olympics Web site aroundtherings.com, "... the other three cities easily could have hosted the Games, but officials from those cities never answered why they should. Rio did that," he said.

Janeane Garofalo - Hypocite!

Maybe it's just me, but over the past several months, it seems that evrytime I turn around, Janeane Garofalo is always on some MSNC, Air America or CNN show complaining about how the conservative movement in this country is comprised of individuals who are, in Ms. Garofalo's estimation, ignorant, racist, red necked, and brain dysfunctional.

Ms. Garofalo's latest rant, on the Friday, October 2 edition of HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher was no exception.

"It's obvious to anybody who has eyes in this country that tea-baggers, the 9-12ers, these separatist groups that pretend that it's about policy – they are clearly white-identity movements. They're clearly white power movements. What they don't like about the President is that he's black – or half black  – and they, what also is shocking is that people keep pretending that that's not really the case with these people.

I'm not talking about people that do have problems with his policies, that's fine. But these people, who are also being led by the Glenn Becks, the Michelle Bachmans, the Rush Limbaughs, whomever, they are no different than any other white identify movement that's part of our history. This has been going on since the founding of this country that white power movements have tried to establish themselves and hold onto power.

This past August Ms. Garafolo, speaking about the "Tea Partys" that were taking lace across the country, Ms. Garafolo said...

"Do you remember tea baggers?  It was just so much easier when we could just call them racists. I just don't know why we can't call them racists, or functionally retarded adults. The functionally retarded adults, the racists - with their cries of, 'I want my country back,' You know what they're really saying is, I want my white guy back!.  These people are called 'racially sensitive', what they should be called is racist, backward motherf**kers."

Back in April of this year Ms. Garafolo let loose on MSNBC's Countdown stating...

"Let's be very honest about what this is about. It's not about bashing Democrats, it's not about taxes, they have no idea what the Boston tea party was about, they don't know their history at all. This is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up. That is nothing but a bunch of tea-bagging rednecks. And there is no way around that. "

In a March appearance on MSNBC Ms. Garafolo opined that...

"The right wing has a way of always having an enemy, whether it be immigrants or Arabs or brown-skinned people, black-skinned people, homosexuals, women. They all, kind of, rally around an enemy, an other, that they can get mad at. And death does occur."

Enough already Janeane!  I get it!  Anyone who disagrees with President Obama of the policies of his democrat majorty congress are ignorant racists and should keep their mouths shut because they are formenting dissension within our country...I get it!

Wait a minute, it seems that I remember an incident back in 2003 where Johnny Depp angered many Americans when he publicly stated...

"America is dumb, it's like a dumb puppy that has big teeth that can bite and hurt you, aggressive, My daughter is four, my boy is one. I'd like them to see America as a toy, a broken toy. Investigate it a little, check it out, get this feeling and then get out,"

Depp's  comments stirred a lot of anger in America at the time, leading Garofalo to defend him on the September 4, 2003, installment of MSNBC's "Countdown":

"There has been so many inappropriate responses to dissent, which is the most patriotic thing you can do. And the First Amendment guarantees everyone's right to speak out. The pillorying that was endured by the Dixie Chicks and Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins and now Johnny Depp is absurd. And, again, it is promulgated by the kind of Archie Bunker mentality that dominates the right wing of the Republican Party and also right-wing radio and some of the faux populist right-wing cable news shows.  Like, Joe Scarborough, for example, pretends that he is real upset about this Johnny Depp thing. It is just -- it's not news and it is not particularly intellectual. And there's nobody that's really upset about it. Johnny Depp has every right to say whatever he wants. And that's a rather moderate thing to say about the puppy. There is global distaste for the Bush doctrine. And there is a lot of domestic distaste for the Bush doctrine, for that matter."

OK!  Let's see if I have this right..

When we spoke out against the Bush Administration and their policies, it was the most patriotic thing we could do...but...now, when we speak out against the Obama Administration and their policies, that makes us all  ignorant, racist, red necks?

No Ms. Garafolo, the only thing all of this makes anyone is a hypocite and that hypocite is you!

Who is Kevin Jennings?

On May 19, 2009, U.S. Department of Education Secretary Arne Duncan announced the following appointment to his senior staff in a press release:

Kevin Jennings, Assistant Deputy Secretary, Office of Safe & Drug Free Schools

Kevin Jennings is the founder and former executive director of the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), an organization that works to make schools safe for all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Prior to his tenure at GLSEN, Jennings served as History Department chair and a history teacher at Concord Academy in Massachusetts and before that as a history teacher at Moses Brown School in Rhode Island. Jennings has also authored six books including Mama's Boy, Preacher's Son: A Memoir which was named a 2007 Book of Honor by the American Library Association and Telling Tales Out of School which was the winner of the 1998 Lambda Literary Award. Jennings received an A.B. in history from Harvard, an M.A. from the Columbia University Teachers College and an M.B.A. from NYU's Stern School of Business.

The following month, the Family Research Council (FRC) announced the launch of the Stop Kevin Jennings campaign with the following accompanying satement.

"Kevin Jennings is a radical homosexual activist whom President Barack Obama appointed to head the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools. As the former president of the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network, Mr. Jennings worked tirelessly to bring the homosexual agenda into our nation's classrooms, even in grades as young as kindergarten. In addition, in his autobiography, Mr. Jennings expresses no regret about his past drug abuse or recognition of its risks. Instead, he seems amused. In his words, "[W]atching the planes take off and land is actually quite fun when you are drunk and stoned."   Jennings has spoken publicly about a high school student he once counseled who was in a sexual relationship with an older man he met in a bus station - yet Jennings never reported this abuse to the authorities, the school, or the child's parents. Family Research Council is launching www.stopjennings.org, to educate the American people about how Jennings' dangerous views make him unfit to protect our nation's schoolchildren. The website will also serve as an action center for those who will join us in calling on the President Obama and Congress to stop this appointment and put someone in this office who truly cares about schoolchildren - someone who would work to protect them from the very influences he seems to promote. "

"Kevin Jennings' record shows he has neither the temperament nor the ethical standards needed for public service," said Family Research Council President Tony Perkins. "His history demonstrates disregard for our obligations to safeguard the health and well being of the student population. He is unfit for the post to which he's been assigned, and Secretary Duncan should withdraw his appointment at once."

In June the conservative website, Human Events, published an article by Tony Perkins entitled "Kevin Jennings -- Unsafe for America's Schools"  which stated "Few Obama administration appointments have been as startling as Education Secretary Arne Duncan’s appointment of Kevin Jennings, the homosexual founder of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), to head the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools."

The non-mainstream media concerns regarding Mr. Jennings' appointment as Presidient Obama's Assistant Deputy Secretary, Office of Safe & Drug Free Schools remained off the radar and ignored by the mainstream media until mid-September when Fox News reported on the Jennings appointment as part of an overall story regarding the Presdent Obama's myriad appointmnents of "Czars" to his administration. (Video below)

Suddenly there was a renewed interest in Mr. Jennings and his appointment as Obama's "Safe School Czar."

Some issues just don’t have a right or left ideology; they just have a right or wrong. One of those issues is the protection of the health, safety and well-being of children. Suddenly, some very specific questions were being asked regarding the appropriatemness of President Obama's appointment of ...

…a person who founded and ran an organization where instructors had explicitly described to middle school youngsters how to perform homosexual sexual acts?

…a teacher who had been told by a boy of 15 that he had been sexually abused by an older man, but did not tell authorities or his parents or do anything to protect the youngster from the abuser?

…a person who wrote the forward to a book called Queering Elementary Education?

…a person who has publicly, in writing and in speeches, ridiculed and demeaned people of faith?

…a person who has publicly, in writing, encouraged young people to defy their parents and religious leaders.

This week the press seems to be picking up on Kevin Jennings for having failed to report that a 15-year-old sophomore student in his school had told him of having sex with an older man and failed to inform either th authorities or the boy's parents of this incident which is tantamount to statutory rape.  Mr. Jennings admits only that he counseled the under age boy that he should wear a condom.

But apparently there is more to this story that is just now beginning to see daylight.

Lori Roman, a regular contributor to Regular Folks United stated in a September 30, 2009 article that:

"For anyone who spends even an hour on the internet looking into Jennings’ speeches and writings, his nonchalant attitude about an older homosexual man having sex with a boy should not be a surprise. What is surprising is that no one is mentioning reports that Jennings publicly stated that he was inspired by one of the biggest promoters of pedophilia in the country—Harry Hay. Hay actively promoted sex between men and boys and supported the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). Transcripts of a GLSEN conference in NYC on October 25, 1997 indicate that Jennings said, “one of the people that always inspired me is Harry Hay.” Jennings also edited a book called Becoming Visible: A Reader in Gay and Lesbian History for High School and College Students which included a biographical sketch on Harry Hay. One of GLSEN’s Education Department resources also lists a work on Harry Hay."

Mr. Jennings wrote the forward to a book titled "Queering Elementary Education: Advancing the Dialogue about Sexualities and Schooling" by William J. Letts IV and James T. Sears.  On the back cover of the book is a review which states:

"Queering Elementary Education is an important contribution to nourishing the ethical heart of teaching, reminding us how anemic and cold and partial our embrace of our students has too often been. For some readers this collection will be an affirmation, for others a surprise and challenge. But it is a book for all teachers and parents, indeed for anyone concerned with the healthy development of children and schools. And, yes, it has an agenda: it stands straight and strong for fairness, for respect, for humanity, for simple decency. …"

Did I forget to mention who authored the above review?

It was none other than our very own 60's terrorist William ("Bill") Ayers.  Remember his comments about smashing monogamy? Remember his confession in the New York Times article on 9/11 about the Weathermen's sexual experimentation, including his own sex with his male best friend? Ayers is a recognized authority on "social justice" education. And of course, Presidient Obama was the first chairman of Ayers' Chicago Annenberg Challenge, so one can safely assume they share quite a few ideas about children and educating about "social justice."

Wait, there's more!

Addressing a church audience on March 20, 2000 in New York City  GLSEN Executive Director Kevin Jennings offered a stinging (and quite intolerant) assessment of how to deal with religious conservatives:

“Twenty percent of people are hard-core fair-minded [pro-homosexual] people. Twenty percent are hard-core [anti-homosexual] bigots. We need to ignore the hard-core bigots, get more of the hard-core fair-minded people to speak up, and we’ll pull that 60 percent [of people in the middle] over to our side. That’s really what I think our strategy has to be. We have to quit being afraid of the religious right. We also have to quit — I’m trying to find a way to say this. I’m trying not to say, ‘[F—] ‘em!’ which is what I want to say, because I don’t care what they think!  Drop dead!”

Kevin Jennings speech to Marble Collegiate Church, March 20, 2000

It should also be noted that on March 25, a statewide conference, called "Teach-Out," was sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Education, the Governor's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, and the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).  Kevin Jennings was the Executive Director of GLSEN at the time.  This "Teach Out" conference evolved into a nation wide controversy at the time which became known as  "fistgate."  (Click on the link.)

As Lori Roman stated, "I don’t believe there is a vetting problem in White House personnel; I think there is a morality problem. Part of that morality problem stems from this White House catering to billionaire George Soros, who is one of the highest level donors to GLSEN through his Open Society Institute. And part of that problem stems from this White House bowing to the teachers’ union (the NEA works closely with and funds GLSEN). And part of it is rooted in pandering for the votes of the homosexual community. In the end, it seems that this Administration has put money, power and votes over the needs and safety of children and parents. And that has nothing to do with right or left; it is just wrong."

I hope that over the next few weeks the mainstream media starts to pay some serious attention to Mr. Jennings and his appointed position as Obama's "School Safety Czar" but I am not holding breath.  As such I am asking that those of you who share my views in these isues, please email this blog to as many of your friends as possible.

NY Times Fails to "Tune In" Again!

Back on September 28, 2009 I posted a blog regarding the New York Times admitting in print that it has been slow to tune into and report on certain controversial stories that the entire rest of the world is reading about.

In my initial post I stated that the Public Editor of the NY Times admitted that the paper "has trouble dealing with stories arising from the polemical world of talk radio, cable television and partisan blogs. Some stories, lacking facts, never catch fire. But others do, and a newspaper like The Times needs to be alert to them or wind up looking clueless or, worse, partisan itself."

The NY Times went further and stated that "Jill Abramson, the managing editor for news, agreed ... that the paper was “slow off the mark,” and blamed “insufficient tuned-in-ness to the issues that are dominating Fox News and talk radio.” and that "they would now assign an editor to monitor opinion media and brief them frequently on bubbling controversies."

Well, there has been a "bubbling controversy" being reported in the "opinion media" over the past several days regarding remarks made by Florida Congressman Alan Grayson where he described the GOP health plan as consisting of nothing more than advising sick citizens to "die quickly" and describing the GOP as a "bunch of knuckle dagging neanderthals!"

Guess what?  The NY Times failed to "tune into" the Grayson controversy and report on it!

Of course, last month, the New York Times moralized in print over Republican Rep. Joe Wilson's "disrespectful" outburst ("You lie!") during Obama's health care address to Congress.

I guess it's true.  You just can't teach an old dog new tricks!

Peter J. Mahon

Speaking of Joe Wilson....

Nancy Pelosi said that she does not feel that there is any reason that Florida Congesssman Alan Grayson should apologize for his remarks on the House Floor earlier this week that the GOP Health Care Plan will require citizens to "die quickly!" or the fact that he called the GOP a bunch of "knuckle dragging Neanderthals" on CNN.

Of course this is the same Nancy Pelosi who, along with her liberal cronies, made much ado about Representative Joe Wilson’s (R-S.C.) shout out, “You lie!", to President Obama when the President(incorrectly) told the American people that his health plan would not spend tax payer dollars on illegal aliens. The liberal left was “horrified” at the congressman’s knee-jerk reaction to Obama’s patently false assertion that illegal aliens would not be covered in his health plan.

I’ll admit, it probably wasn’t the most professional reaction to a President’s congressional address and I certainly didn’t appreciate when Democrats hollered, heckled and booed President Bush at his 2005 State of the Union address to congress when he spoke of social security reform. Nevertheless, unlike the 2005 Democrats, Wilson immediately apologized to the President who graciously accepted same.

In a sane, adult world that should have been the end of the story but there is nothing sane nor adult in Washington D.C. politics.
The looney left launched a vitriolic assault on Congressman Wislon alleging everything from racism to drug use.  The Democrats would not accept the fact that Wilson immediately apologized to Obama for his remark
and promptly set about to censure him in offcial house proceedings.

Of course Wilson's censure could not, of and by itself,  stand to atone for his sin of speaking the truth during Obama's congessional speech and they then let loose of left's liberal dogs of war who immediately began to assail the South Carolina's Representative's reputation.

According to MSNBC’s David Shuster, South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson shouting ‘you lie’ to President Obama was racism on display: “The fact that Joe Wilson is from South Carolina...it strikes a lot of people as awfully close to the idea that maybe there was some sort of racist or bigoted element there.”

Shuster went on to add: “And especially then when you look up at the picture and you see older white men, all Republicans, sitting there. Just it gives off a strange vibe.” On Thursday, Shuster claimed that Republicans were: “...all white males with short haircuts. They look sort of angry. No women, no minorities, and it looks like they’ve sort of become unhinged.”

Jesse Jackson was asked “What role, if any, do you believe that bigotry is playing in some of this venom toward President Obama?”

Jackson seized on the opportunity to cry racism: “Well, substantial. There is a struggle between the hope of going forward and the fear of going backwards....the big C-word, conservative, for some that means fiscal, for some, it means religious ethics, for some it means a code word for race.”

Bill Maher also could not contain himself. “To heckle a President, to shout in the middle of a speech, would he have done that if it was a white President? I don't think so. I think this is a southern guy who thinks 'I can do whatever I want when it's a black guy speaking."

Maureen Dowd at the NY Times wrote that "Some people just can’t believe a black man is president and will never accept it"

Lastly, the below excerpt is a “startling revelation” intimating that Wilson is a drug user that appeared in The Hill's Blog Briefing Room under the ominous headline...

"Wilson regularly took caffeine pills in 2007".

Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.), who shouted "you lie!" at President Obama during his Wednesday night address to Congress, admitted to regularly consuming caffeine pills in 2007.

It is unclear if Wilson still takes NoDoz, a brand of pill that contains 200 milligrams of caffeine a pop. By comparison, a seven ounce cup of drip coffee contains 115 to 175 milligrams of caffeine.

I come away from this issue with two thoughts...

Firstly, Wilson accomplished what th mainstream media would not report on and he made Democrats uncomfortable enough to acknowledge the current bills would let illegal immigrants get benefits. As a result of this controversy, Senate Democrats said Thursday they discussed options, like requiring Social Security numbers to make clear illegal immigrants will not get coverage. Of course they failed to mention that an amendment had previously been offered to both bills which would have precluded the expenditure of health care funds to illegal aliens, but the amendment was killed in committee.

Secondly, I for one am becoming sick and tired of the immediate and continual response by the left to any criticism of their policies as being racist and labeling the entire conservative movement in this country as bigoted and otherwise flawed. Come on, you immediately set about digging up dirt on Joe Wislon and all you can uncover is that he took caffeine pills in 2007 and then try to spin that into a drug use inference story?

Our elected officials (in both parties)at the federal, state and local levels have become a disgrace, wallowing in the corrpuption of money and power politics.

Our mainsream media have abandoned journalistic objectivity for partian driven politicl agendas.

When justified political dissent can be casually dismissed as amounting to nothing more than racial bogotry our nation is in serious jeopardy.  Money, special interest groups and a majority democratic party that is being driven by a far left progresive social agenda are usurping our founding fathers ideal of a national government based on specific principles of governance and Lincoln's hope that and that a "government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth" is in serious danger.

Peter J. Mahon

Joe Wilson has Nothing to Be Ashamed Of!

On September 29, 2009, Congreessman Alan Grayson (D-Fla) ,while on the floor of the House of Representatives, stated that the Republican Health Care Plan is a simple one - "Don't Get Sick!"

The Florida Congressman went on to say that if you should get sick, the Republican Health Care Plan will ask you to "Die Quickly!"

Let's think about this for moment shall we?  A Democratic United States Congressman walks on to the floor of the House of Representatives and accuses the Republicans of having no viable contributions to the health care debate other than to advise the citizens of the country to stay healthy and that in the event they should become sick the GOP would then like those citizens to hurry up and die!

Obviously, it was not terribly surprising that after Representative Grayson left the House Floor several members of the GOP requested that he apologize for his official statements on the House Floor which were deemed inappropriate and rude.

The next day, September 30th, Congressman Grayson took to the floor of the House once again and prefaced his remarks by acknowledging that he had been requested to apologize for his remarks of the previous day.

Instead of apologizing for his remarks of the previous evening, Congressman Grayson, citing a medical report entitled Health Insurance and Mortality in US Adults,  apologized to those 44,879 Americans "who die each year because they have no health insurance...I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven't voted to end this holocaust in America!"

A quick check of the medical report in question quickly revealed that the report had concluded  that a lack of health insurance is associated with as many as 44,879 deaths per year in the United Sates…” and in no way asserted that the lack of health insurance was the cause of such deaths.

Insofar as attempting to understand the Congressman's assertion that such lack of health care has resulted in an American "holocaust", your guess is as good as mine.

After leaving the House floor, Congressman Grayson subsequently appeared on CNN where he then stated that the Republians are "knuckle dragging Neanderthals..."

Congresman Grayson concluded his CNN interview by reminding everyone that since President Obama won the election we "...now have to move ahead in just the way the President wants us to."

I initially intended to lay into Mr. Grayson but after some introspection I have decided not to attribute his actions and statements of the past few days to partisan malice as they can also be easily explained by virtue of sheer stupidity!
