Obama Speaking Out of Both Sides of His Mouth!

His Presidential campaign hinged on his "geting rid" of the influence of the "K Street" special interest lobbyists.  In fact, as President, he would not hire any lobbyists to work in his administration!

Of course, immediately after being elected,  President Obama reached out to the following individuals to work in his adminisration.

Eric Holder, attorney general nominee, was registered to lobby until 2004 on behalf of clients including Global Crossing, a bankrupt telecommunications firm.

Tom Vilsack, secretary of agriculture nominee, was registered to lobby as recently as last year on behalf of the National Education Association.

William Lynn, deputy defense secretary nominee, was registered to lobby as recently as last year for defense contractor Raytheon, where he was a top executive.

William Corr, deputy health and human services secretary nominee, was registered to lobby until last year for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, a non-profit that pushes to limit tobacco use.

David Hayes, deputy interior secretary nominee, was registered to lobby until 2006 for clients, including the regional utility San Diego Gas & Electric.

Mark Patterson, chief of staff to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, was registered to lobby as recently as last year for financial giant Goldman Sachs.

Ron Klain, chief of staff to Vice President Joe Biden, was registered to lobby until 2005 for clients, including the Coalition for Asbestos Resolution, U.S. Airways, Airborne Express and drug-maker ImClone.

Mona Sutphen, deputy White House chief of staff, was registered to lobby for clients, including Angliss International in 2003.

Melody Barnes, domestic policy council director, lobbied in 2003 and 2004 for liberal advocacy groups, including the American Civil Liberties Union, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, the American Constitution Society and the Center for Reproductive Rights.

Cecilia Munoz, White House director of intergovernmental affairs, was a lobbyist as recently as last year for the National Council of La Raza, a Hispanic advocacy group.

Patrick Gaspard, White House political affairs director, was a lobbyist for the Service Employees International Union.

Michael Strautmanis, chief of staff to the president’s assistant for intergovernmental relations, lobbied for the American Association of Justice from 2001 until 2005.

One year later, at his State of the Union address to Congress, President Obama  promised, yet again,  to “end the outsized influence of lobbyists” in Washington.

Apparently "forgetting" about all the lobbyists he had brought into his administration during the past year, he then praised himself for excluding lobbyists from jobs in his administration and he proposed even more limits on them.

President Obama must have a serious problem wih his short term memory because less than 24 hours after his State of the Union address, Obama invited many "K Street" lobbysists  to meet with his staff for private briefings on a range of topics he had addressed in his speech the previous evening!

Is it any wonder that the American people are exasperated with the President's continual public whining about the undue influence of special interest lobbyists, accompanied by meaningless promises that lobbyists have no place in his administation, while at the same time he either hires them or quietly solicits their opinions while Obama’s friends in Congress badger them for political donations.

You gotta hand it to the "Chosen One." He brings new meaning to the old saying, "Speaking out of both sides of your mouth!"

Obama: It's the banks fault!

During his State of the Union speech last night President Obama laid the blame of the nations housing crisis a the feet of the banks when he said...

People bought homes they knew they couldn’t afford from banks and lenders who pushed those bad loans anyway.

Perhaps the Chosen One has forgotten that fellow liberal democrat, Barney Frank, sits on the House Banking Committee which has jurisdiction over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, two of the largest mortgage lenders in the country.

Back in 1991 Barney Frank worked to loosen regulations for two and three family homes even though those mortgages were defaulting at twice and five times the rates of single homes respectively.

At the same time, Mr. Herb Moses, a Fannie Mae executive was also championing the relaxation of these regulations.

In 1994, the Department of Housing and Urban Development recommended imposing tougher regulations on Fannie Mae to ensure that lender's liquidity but, once again, Fannie Mae (Herbert Moses) and Barney Frank made sure no such regulations were imposed.  (Whoops, I almost forgot to mention that Barney Frank and Herbert Moses had been lovers since 1987. Can anyone say conflict of interest?)

In 1999, Barney Frank's House Banking Committee allowed Fannie Mae to further reduce restrictions on loans in an effort to increase home ownership among minorities and low income customers. At that time even the New York Times reported that if Fannie Mae fails, "...the government will have to step up and bail them out..."

During a July 2008 interview, when the handwriting was on the wall, Barney Frank, as the head of the House Banking Committee, stated "I think this is a case where Fannie and Freddie are fundamentally sound, that they are not in danger of going under..."

Unfortunately, not only for Barney, but for the rest of us as well, less than two months later, Fannie Mae went belly-up!

After years of providing essentially no governmental oversight for Fannie Mae while maintaining a long term relationship with an executive of that company and continually blocking GOP lawmakers from imposing stricter regulations on this mortgage giant, Congressman Barney Frank had the audacity to blame the mortgage giant's failure on the Republicans.

It was the liberal democrats who forced the lending institutions into a position of making these "bad" loans and now we are supposed to simply sit back and let an even more liberal democrat administration and Congress fix the problem?

If you believe this line of tripe, I have a bridge in Broklyn that I would like to sell you!

Bloomberg Finally Wakes Up!

Responding to growing pressure from downtown residents and business leaders, Mayor Bloomberg yesterday said the trial for 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed and his fellow terrorists should be moved out of the city.

"It would be great if the federal government could find a site that didn't cost $1 billion, which using downtown will, and it will also impact traffic and commerce and people's lifestyles and it would be great if we didn't do it.", Bloomberg said.

It's great that Bloomberg has finally got off the fence he was sitting on and has sent a message to President Obama and his Attorney General (Eric Holder) that perhaps they should rethink their dangerous idea of holding a criminal trial for these terrorists in the heart of Manhattan!

Now if only our two illustrious State Senators, Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, would also start listening to their constituents instead of cow-towing to Obama and Holder, we could actually get something done about this ill-conceived and dangerous idea!

Bin Laden to Obama - "I did it!"

The Reuters News Agency has reported that Osama Bin Laden has claimed responsibility for the Christmas Day Bombing in Detroit…

Reuters: CAIRO — Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden claimed responsibility for the Christmas Day airline bombing attempt in Detroit, in a audio message released Sunday, and vowed further attacks on the U.S.

The message suggests that bin Laden wants to show he remains in direct command of al-Qaida’s many branches around the world.

In the short recording carried by the Al-Jazeera Arabic news channel, bin Laden addressed President Barack Obama saying the attack was a message similar to that of Sept. 11 and more attacks against the U.S. would be forthcoming.

“The message delivered to you through the plane of the heroic warrior Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was a confirmation of the previous messages sent by the heroes of the Sept. 11,” he said.

“America will never dream of security unless we will have it in reality in Palestine,” he added. “God willing, our raids on you will continue as long as your support for the Israelis continues.”

It will be interestng to see if Obama responds to Bin Laden's message with a promise of contnued support for our ally Israel or will he throw that nation under the bus in his continuing effort to "fundamentally transform" our nation.

The Far Left to Obama - Can You Hear Us Now?

I thought it might be interesting to find out how the far left liberal wing of the democart party views Obama at this point in time and I came across this essay by David Michael Green, a professor of political science at Hofstra University in New York, who is a very liberal progresive.

Professor Green's essay, How to Squander the Presidency in One Year - Hey, Conan Obama: How About Now? Can You Hear Us Now? , was recently published at commondreams.org and is to say, much more intensely angry than any article I have seen written about Obama by anyne on the right!

What follows is just a snippet of Professor Green's essay...

Barack Obama has now, in just a year's time, become the single most inept president perhaps in all of American history, and certainly in my lifetime. Never has so much political advantage been pissed away so rapidly, and what's more in the context of so much national urgency and crisis. It's astonishing, really, to contemplate how much has been lost in a single year… He's got zero leverage over his own party in Congress now. As for the public, it's gonna be pretty hard to now market himself as the great enemy of the people's enemies, when he's just finished a year of making secret sweetheart deals that benefit Wall Street bankers, health insurance pirates, and pharmaceutical predators, all while leaving his own base and the public he's supposed to be serving out in the rain.. Obama and the National Debt

In his first year as President, Barack Obama and his democrat controlled Congress tripled our national debt.

In 2010, they are on track to nearly quadruple Bush’s 2008 budget deficit.

Yesterday, the Associated Press reported...

"President Barack Obama has endorsed a bipartisan plan to name a special task force charged with coming up with a plan to curb the spiraling budget deficit.”

That about sums up my personal opinion of the libral progressive fiscal mindset...spend yourself into a very deep hole and then appoint a committee to figure out a way to climb out of the hole. If it doesn't work, blame the committee!

If Obama and his democrat Congress were really serious about cutting the national deficit they could simply admit that the Stimulus bill was a failure and cancel this year’s spending, immediately saving $236 billion.

But then again, Obama would really have to be serious about cutting the deficit.

Is there anyone out there who does not find the above depiction of our growing deficit truly scary?

Obama on Massaschusetts - It's Bush's Fault!

Two days after the Liberal Democrat crash landing in Massachusetts, President Obama now says that he “understands” the anger of the common folk.

“If there is one thing that I regret this year, its that we were so busy getting stuff done and dealing with the immediate crises that were in front of us, that I think we lost some of that sense of speaking directly to the American people…”

Obama now feels that if he had just taken the time to explain to the American people the “good, rational” decision making that went into his decisions that the “people would get it!”

This is a President who, is his first year in office, held 42 news conferences, gave 158 interviews and made 411 speeches, 52 of which dealt solely with health care! Obama has had more face time on television that Simon Cowell on American Idol.

It is also interesting to note that even after one year in Office, Obama is still unable to accept responsibility as President of the United States, finding it easier to continue to blame George W. Bush for the all of the nation’s problems.

“People are angry, and they are frustrated. Not just because of what’s happened in the last year…but what’s happened over the last eight years.”

Representative Chris Van Hollen, Chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, echoed Obama’s assertion that George Bush is the root of all evils facing the President’s administration when he stated:

“Elections are about choices and this year’s Midterms will be a choice between continuing the economic progress and independent leadership that House Democrats are delivering for their districts versus Republicans who are eager to turn back the clock to the same failed Bush-Cheney policies that brought our economy to the brink of collapse.”

As Obama and Van Hollen were busy blaming George Bush for the Massachusetts train wreck, his Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, was busy talking up his friends in the main-steam media blaming the entire mess on the failed democratic candidate, Martha Coakley. Not surprising for an administration that has shown no hesitancy in throwing friends, allies and even relatives “under the bus” for the sake of political expediency.

Unfortunately, absent any semblance of a real understanding on the part of Obama of what has happened in America since he took Office, I fear that our President and his liberal cronies will view the recent “Miracle in Massachusetts” more as a bump on the road of his socialistic agendas than a real wake up call.

The writing is now clearly on the wall. Voters are angry with their Democratic dominated government. They don’t appreciate Obama’s inattention to the economy. They are very worried about soaring national deficits and they despise ObamaCare! They are sick and tired of secret back room deals to win votes and the lack of promised transparency on the part of Congress in dealing with Obama’s political agendas. They are fearful of an administration that worries more about advising a terrorist of his Miranda Rights to remain silent than interrogtaing him for actionable intelligence!

The voters are also disgusted with the intentional and heavy handed lack of promised bi-partianship displayed by Obama's cronies in Congress on the part of Nancy Pelosi and Hary Reid.

After a year in Office, to shirk his responsibility as President by continuing to blame George Bush for all of the world’s ills or by castigating their own candidates for failed elections, Obama will only make deeper the already substantial hole he is standing in.

This is not a democrat issue. This is not a Republican issue. It’s not even a conservative or a liberal issue. Perhaps President Obama would be well served by the words of Thomas Jefferson when he wrote:

“The duty of an upright administration is to pursue its course steadily for the good of the people, to know nothing of these family dissentions, and to cherish the good principles of both parties.”

Obama's Health Care Debacle

Barrack Obama has been President of the United States for one year and if there is anyone left out there who still does not grasp the type of “Chicago” politics he has brought to the White House in order to push his unpopular and worrisome agenda of rapid government expansion via health care, I offer the following.

Initially, Obama and friends envisioned their transformative health care initiative as a government operated, single payer, one size fits all, universal health care plan. Everyone would be required to enroll in this system or risk criminal and civil sanctions.

As Obama and his liberal democrat cronies continually extolled the benefits of ObamaCare to the American people they also conveniently neglected to mention that the President and Congress would not be subject to this plan as they would be exempted from this legislation and allowed to retain their own, government funded, health care packages.

When it became clear that the American people were absolutely horrified at the prospect of a “socialized medicine” system, not unlike those employed by Great Britain and Canada, the single payer universal health care initiative was quickly transformed into a “public option” plan which would allow those Americans who were happy with their current health coverage to retain it while offering government run health care coverage to others.

It did not take long for any thinking person to soon realize that the less expensive government funded public option would inevitably result in private insurance carriers being forced to raise their premiums which, in turn, would force more individuals to opt for the government plan. Over time, only the very rich (and of course the President and Congresss) would be able to afford health care coverage through private insurance carriers. Basically, we would arrive back at the initial single payer, universal health care concept originally envisioned by Obama and the left.

Once again it became clear that the American people were not too happy with ObamaCare. During the August ’09 recess, members of Congress were told by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to return to their individual state districts and meet with their constituents to explain the benefits of ObamaCare. What Obama and his democrat Congress did not know was that the American people had other plans for the August recess.
Members of Congress were besieged at their August Town Hall meetings by irate citizens demanding accountability from their representatives and making it very clear that they were not happy with the direction that the ObamaCare legislation “public option” initiative was taking.

Although stunned by levels of discontent with their health care plan, Obama’s liberal democrat Congress responded by simply dismissing the citizen protests at their town hall meetings as being non-representative of the majority of Americans, consisting of small groups unruly, uninformed, uneducated, redneck, un-American and racist individuals.

Nancy Pelosi, in an effort to deflect opposition to the “public option” plan made a failed effort to rename it a “consumer option” in the hopes of making it more palatable to the uniformed masses. Well, when Nancy started to talk about her new "consumer option", she once again, allowed her mouth to outdistance her brain when she stated....

“I do think it better when people think of it as their option, their consumer option. Because public option is being misrepresented as being something that’s paid for by taxpayer dollars, which it is not.” 

Now you really have to sit back and ponder what these politicians are drinking. If this new health care program will not be paid for by taxpayer dollars, then just who the hell is going to pay for it?

Harry Reid, in a ridiculous attempt to shore up a listing ship, then introduces an "opt out option" for individual states if the bill is passed. Great idea! What State Governor in his or her right mind would opt out of an enitlement program knowing that the citizens of that state will still have to pay the increased taxes for benefits they will not receive because their state "opted out" of the program.

When it became clear that Obama intended to cut Medicare funding in order to pay for his health care plan the Humana Insurance Company sent a mailing to its Medicare Advantage customers warning of possible benefit reductions if Medicare funding was cut.

As soon as Obama became aware of this, he had his Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, issue a statement via that agency’s Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services directing companies that participate in the Medicare Advantage program to cease all communication with beneficiaries dealing with the administration’s planned cuts to the Advantage program.

Harry Reid took to the floor of the United States Senate and complained about the lack of republican support his Health Care Plan was receiving. Of course Harry made no mention of his "democrat only" closed door meetings while putting his plan together or his "democrat only" meeting with the President when Obama stopped by Congress to rally his party members to finalize the plan. Then Reid, either abetted by copious amounts of intoxicants or perhaps just plain mendacity, likened those republicans and others who oppose his Health Care Plan to those who, according to Reid, opposed an end to slavery... opposed women's right to vote ...and those who opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Congressman Alan Grayson (D-Fla) ,while on the floor of the House of Representatives, stated that the Republican Health Care Plan is a simple one - "Don't Get Sick!" The Florida Congressman went on to say that if you should get sick, the Republican Health Care Plan will ask you to "Die Quickly!" Grayson also described those republicans and others who opposed ObamaCare as “Neanderthals!”

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, a democrat from Rhode Island, took to the floor of the Senate to present what I had thought would be an argument in defense of the Senate’s Health Care Bill. Unofortunately, I was wrong. Rather than arguing he merits of the bill, Senator Whitehouse instead used his time at the Senate podium to label all those republicans and conservatives and the majority of the American people who are opposed to this massive legislation with such words as “crazy”, “shameful”, “lunatic fringe”, “being poisoned with hate”, etc. Not surprisingly, Senator Whitehouse then resorted to the left wings political playbook of “playing the race card” when he stated that…

“They are desperate to break this president. They have ardent supporters who are nearly hysterical at the very election of President Barack Obama. The birthers, the fanatics, the people running around in right-wing militia and Aryan support groups, it is unbearable to them that President Barack Obama should exist.”

Even though President Obama had the majority of the mainstream media in his back pocket supporting ObamaCare, he became irritated with the fact that the Fox News Network (FNN) was actually reporting all of the shenanigans that he and his liberal friends were pulling regarding Health Care. What to do? Obama sent out his White House Communications Director, Anita Dunn, to announce to the world that FNN was not a “real news network” and and that the “real” news media should not report or follow up on stories being reported by FNN!

Of course they were those members of Congress who refrained from calling American citizens who protested ObamaCare “un-American” or censoring the news.. Thy simply sat back and waited to be bought off!

Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu was one of them. She simply withheld her support for Harry Reid’s Senate version of ObamaCare until she was paid off! The nation witnessed a a government payoff to Senator Landrieu to secure her vote so that Harry Reid could get 60 votes and begin the debate on Obamacare in the Senate…a $300 million payoff for her vote! Hell, the original Louisiana Purchase only cost $15 million. Can you say quit pro quo, payoff!

Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson was also one to steer clear of demonizing his constituents for protesting ObamaCare while withholding his vote. But Nelson didn’t come cheap. In addition to the abortion restrictions he wanted, he also got a very nice pay out to his state of Nebraska: the feds will pay 100% of its Medicaid costs, forever. The bill raises eligibility for Medicaid, so that’s been a big deal for opponents and governors complaining about unfunded mandates.

Of course Obama couldn’t forget about the unions who supported his Presidential campaign. ObamaCare calls for a 40% tax on those upscale private “Cadillac” health care plans. Guess what, the members of most of the big Obama camp unions enjoy these type plans. No problem…Obama simply exempted these unions (AFLCIO, SEIU, United Mine Workers, UAW, NEA, etc.) from this tax until 2018! Want to make a bet that there was an under the table promise to simply extend this extension in 2018?
Of course one should also keep in mind that during this entire process, the majority of our elected representatives have not even read the legislation they are supposedly working on. Maybe if President Obama had kept his campaign promises to televise this whole health care debate on CNN instead of allowing his minions Pelosi and Reid to conduct their business in secret, behind closed doors, one or two Congressman and Senators might have actually read the bill to avoid looking silly on television.

Many of us, now with our eyes wide open, wonder how it is that we have allowed ourselves to become burdened with this type of overbearing, over taxing and ever expansionist government. One only has to look to our founding fathers for the answer.

James Madison astutely pointed out that “Enlightened statesmen will not always be at the helm.”

Alexander Hamilton followed up Madison’s statement by saying “The natural cure for an ill-administration in a popular or representative constitution, is a change of men.”

Remember, our cure for this "ill" administration and Congress" lies with the 2010 General Election which is only ten months away!

Danny Glover - Haiti Disaster Caused by Global Warming!

I knew it would not be long until someone on the left attempted to politicize the Haiti earthquake but I was not expecting this.

Laura Flanders, former morning host on the liberal Air America radio station, a British-born US-based journalist, a self described “liberal, lefty person”, hosts a weekday talk and news program,GritTV, which is broadcast weekdays on Free Speech TV.

Yesterday Ms. Flanders interviewed actor turned activist Danny Glover and asked his thoughts on the earthquake disaster in Haiti. Mr. Glover said…

“We have to mount a much larger effort…in a new relationship, in a partnership relationship not a dominance relationship where we try to extract more from the pain of the Haitian people…Other countries in the region, Venezuela, Brazil, Cuba have all stepped up…I mean this could be a defining moment fo this administration. I hope we seize this particular moment because the threat of what happened to Haiti is the threat that can happen anywhere in the Caribbean to these island nations. They’re all in peril because of global warming, they’re all in peril because of climate change and we need to find….all this…this… this…when we look back at what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen…this is the response…this is what happens…we have to act now.”

OK Danny….according to you,  the United States should try and be more like Venezuela and Cuba and stop causing pain to the people of Haiti. At the same time we should increase our assistance efforts in a new “spirit of partnership” to help those people on the small island nation affected by this terrible earthquake which was caused by global warming and a failed climate summit?

I can’t help but smile every time one of these pseudo intellectual Hollywood types opens his or her mouth and allows the stupidity to flow out unabated!

A Massachusetts Miracle?

This past September Massachusetts Governor, Devahl Patrick, named former Democratic Party chairman Paul G. Kirk Jr. on Thursday to temporarily fill the Senate seat of the late Sen. Edward Kennedy who passed away last August.

Senator Kirk’s appointment was a temporary one, until the voters of Massachusetts could pick a replacement in a special election to be held next week on January 19, 2010, fllowing democrat and republican primary races.

Governor Devahl’s interim appointment of Kirk was an important one as it allowed President Barrack Obama to retain a critical 60th U.S. Senate vote he needs to pass a health care overhaul.

The contenders in the January 19th Special Election are Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley won the Democrat Primary and Scott Brown was the Republican candidate.

The Democrats and Obama were initially pretty laid back about this race. After all, this was Massachusetts, a solidly democratic town and this was “Teddy Kennedy’s” senate seat that was at stake. Obama and company all figured that Martha Coakley’s victory in this race was a “lock.” After all, Massachusetts is a state with one million more rgisered democrats than republicans!

Then something unheard of before (as far as Massachusetts politics is concerned) took place. During a recent debate between the candidates Brown, who has said he would vote against Obama’s health Care bill, was asked if he really was saying that if he sat in Ted Kennedy’s seat he would vote against health care, Brown responded, "With all due respect, it's not the Kennedy's seat, it's not the Democrats' seat, it's the people's seat." (see video above)

Brown suddenly started gaining momentum in the polls while Coakley’s numbers remained stagnant. Keep in mind that should Scott win the Seanate seat the democrats will no longer enjoy a super majority in the Senate and the Presidient’s Health Bill will be, for all intents and purposes, dead on arrival. If you were a fly on the wall of the Oval Office in the White House you would hear the political alarms sounding loudly… ”Danger Will Robinson, Danger!” Several polls now show this race as being a statistical dead heat!

In a bid to stave off a potential political disaster, President Barrack Obama and his allies have now mounted a last-ditch effort to thwart Scott Brown's bid to score a "Massachusetts Miracle" should he win the late Ted Kennedy's Senate seat in next Tuesday's special election.

The democrats even have a health care vote fail safe provision ready to go in the event Brown should pull off the “Massachusetts Miracle.” Massachusetts Secretary of State William F. Galvin, citing state law, says city and town clerks must wait at least 10 days for absentee ballots to arrive before they certify the results of the Jan. 19 election. They then have five more days to file the returns with his office. Until this “delaying action” is over, interim Senator Paul Kirk would remain in office guaranteeing Obama and company the much needed 60th vote for his health care bill.

Of course this is the same William F. Galvin who bypassed this delayed certification provision in 2007 so his fellow Democrats could gain a House vote they needed to override a veto of then-Republican President George W. Bush.

If Scott Brown is unable to pull off a republican “Massachsuetts Miracle” next Tuesday, his campaign’s ability to make this election a close one has sent a strong message to President Obama and his liberal democrat cronies regarding not only ObamaCare but this years 2010 general elections as well. If Massachusetts is no longer a solidly blue, “safe” liberal” state, what can they expect within the other 49 states?

On the other hand, should Brown actually win the Massachusetts Senate seat and the democrats invoke their delayed certification provision to ensure interim Senator Kirk remains in office long enough to provide Obama his 60th vote, they will have provided even more evidence of their “the people be damned” attitude towards governance.

In either scenario, the liberal democrats lose!

Barrack Obama - Year One!

As a young community organizer and attorney in Illinois, President Obama attended church with his pastor, Jeremiah Wright who blames the U.S. Government for the HIV virus and drugs being introduced to minority youths, hung out with his friend William Ayers, a 1960 terrorist with the Weather Underground. and helped out with the Illinois segment of the nationwide community organization, Acorn.

As a junior state senator from Illinois Barrack Hussein Obama played Chicago politics with his Governor, Rod Blagojevich. When Obama left the Senate to become President, Blagjevich immediately tried to sell Obama’s vacant Senate seat to the highest bidder. As luck would have it, the Governor was caught, arrested, indicted and removed from office but not before he appointed a big time liberal Acorn supporter, Roland Burris, to fill Obama’s vacant senate seat.

While running for President, Obama denied knowing that his pastor, Jeremiah Wright, was an America Hating racist, stated that his grandmother was a “typical white person” who was afraid of black men, denied being friends with Bill Ayers, told “Joe the Plumber” (aka: Samuel Wurzelbacher) that he was going to raise his taxes so he could pass along his money to someone else who needed it more than him, and touted his proposed energy taxes even though admitting that they would bankrupt to American coal industry.

After becoming President he set about assembling the members of his new and transparent administration.

Rahm Emanuel, the ultra left partisan of hard ball politics who once delivered a dead fish to a political adversary, was appointed as the White House Chief of Staff.

Valerie Jarrett, a long time Obama family friend and fellow Chicago democrat political crony, was appointed as a special advisor to the president.

He originally appointed Tom Daschel as his Health and Human Services Secretary but had to throw him under the bus when it became known that Daschel had not paid his taxes.

Eric Holder was appointed as the nation's Attorney General.  Holder refused to prosecute a blatant case of voter intimidation against members of the New Black Panther Party who, while dreseed in miltary garb and armed with a night stick,  phsyically and verbally threatened voters at a polling place in Philadelphia even though the incidnet was captured on vedotape.  Of course, this is the same Attorney General who refuses to investigate the myriad reams of evidence that have been produced indicating thtat the community organization is a corrupt organization.

He originally appointed Bill Richardson, the Governor of New Mexico as his Commerce Secretary but had to throw him under the bus because he was being investigated by a Grand Jury.

He appointed Timothy Geithner as Treasury Secretary. Geithner also did not pay his taxes but could not be thrown under the bus because it was too busy running over Dacshel and Richradson.

He appointed Van Jones as his Green Jobs Czar but when it became widely known that Mr. Jones was an admitted communist, a 9/11 truther and possessed with a peculiar sense of bi-partisanship, he called all republicans “%$#-holes”, he was quietly let go at midnight over the 2009 Memorial Day Holiday weekend.

He appointed John Holdren as his administration’s “Science Czar.” Turns out Mr. Holdren thinks that the United States Constitution would allow for forced abortions, forced marriages, large scale sterilization of the population, and an accompanying massive campaign to "de-develop" the United States.

He appointed Cass Sunstein as the administration’s “Regulatory Czar”. Mr. Sunstein is an avid animal rights activist who wants to ban hunting and believes that animals should have the right to human legal counsel in order to address animal rights violations.

He appointed Mark Lloyd as the FCC’s “Diversity Czar”. Mr. Lloyd believes the media is not sufficiently racially diverse and is disproportionately populated with conservative talk radio programs.

He appointed Janet Napolitano as Director of Homeland Security. Ms. Napolitano has stated that she does not believe that illegal immigration is a crime, that acts of terror should now be referred to as “man made disasters” and that the United States is no longer engaged in a “war on terror” but rather we are pursuing “overseas contingency operations!”

He appointed Anita Dunne as the White House Communications Ditector. Ms. Dunn stated in a speech to a group of high school students that one of her "admired philosophers" was Chairman Mao Tse Tung who was the Chinese communist butcher who murdered millions of his own people during his 32 year reign of power.

He appointed Kevin Jennings as his “Safe Schools Czar”. Kevin Jennings is a radical homosexual activist whom President Barack Obama appointed to head the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools. As the former president of the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network, Mr. Jennings worked tirelessly to bring the homosexual agenda into our nation's classrooms, even in grades as young as kindergarten. Jennings publicly stated that he was inspired by one of the biggest promoters of pedophilia in the country—Harry Hay. Hay actively promoted sex between men and boys and supported the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA).

Obama began his first year as Prsident with an intentional violation of the rules of economics. Instead of reducing spending and taxes, Obama and his willing Capitol Hill cohorts came up with a plan to jump-start the economy: The Stimulus Plan.

Recessions are cyclical. They just vary in length and severity. The usual practice of lowering taxes and reducing government spending usually signals to the private sector and Wall Street that stability was being sought, and stability and growth usually follows. The Obama aim was to violate the obvious rules and damage the economy using a socialist template that had the Democrat Party’s fingerprints all over it. The government would “spend” $787 billion dollars we really didn’t have to create jobs. 

Of course, that immediately sent the wrong signals to Wall Street and the economy continued to plummet. Banks began to lose their solvency, and Obama’s Democrats (under the cover of Phase I put in motion by President Bush) began using tax money to keep "certain" financial institutions from failing.  Oh, and those jobs I was talking about?  Obama closed out his first year with a nationwide 10% unemplyment rate!

The auto industry was the next target of Barack Obama and his ideologues. Normally, economic cycles dictate whether businesses are profitable, in peril, or should either be disbanded or restructured. Obama took automakers who were underwater because of employee legacy obligations, and instead of allowing them to restructure, directed the federal government to take over those willing to play along. He saw to it that car companies that accepted handouts would downsize. Of course, that downsizing would have to affect the little guy. Many dealerships had to close so a criteria had to be developed to decide which survived and which would not. Rahm Emanuel made that choice easy. If the dealership owner gave money primarily to Republicans, it was closed!

On the foreign policy front, Obama’s progressive administration knew that they had to capitalize on the left wing’s hatred of George W. Bush, so what would normally be considered going over the top was heartily welcomed. Obama went around the world, seemingly bowing and apologizing for everything evil that was America.

Let’s not forget what Obama did during his first year to foster race relations in this country. One word will forever represent the divide he so well exacerbated when he described the actions of the Cambridge Police Department’s arrest of Professor Gates as “stupid” with an accompanying and complete ignorance of the facts of the case. Obama quickly tried to clear that mess up with a White House Photo-Op and some beers!

While many Americans are now beginning to understand the junk science and dubious financial interests behind the religion of global warming-climate change, Barack Obama would also use this to try and further burden the economy. His Cap-and-Trade proposals will not only severely slow the economic engine of the United States, but would also impose higher taxes and costs on the American people. And if he can’t pass his Cap and Trade bill, no problem. He had his EPA Director proclaim CO2 as “hazardous to humans” and thus subject to regulation (translation: taxes, surcharges and fees) by that agency.

Shortly after winning his Nobel Peace Prize which he was nominated for after just 30 days in Office as President, Obama flew off to Copenhagen to attend a United Nations sponsored Climate Change conference which accomplished nothing as many of the third world countries attending employed “Chicago Like” politics in an effort to bully increased funding from the United States and the conference devolved into a greedy “give me” disaster.

You would have thought Obama would have learned from his previous trip to Europe and the International Olympics Committee to support Chicago as the site of the next Olumpics. All Obam's personal prsence saw was Chicago being knocked out of contention during the first round of voting.

The same with universal health care. While avoiding all the real problems with health care (frivolous lawsuits against doctors, lack of insurance company competition in some states), Obama played the failed Democrat playbook again and seeks government control over the entire health care industry. Note how Obama just sat back and allowed the far left to dictate and leave their fingerprints all over the terms of the legislation.

Although Obama made much about the claim of transparency for his new administration and his repeated campaign promises to have this healthcare debate televised to the people on CNN, the bill was assembled in secret behind closed doors by his democrat cronies in Congress.

When American citizens began to protest this back in August at various Town Hall Meetings, Obama’s staff described the protestors as “un-American”. When the Tea Party Protests started in earnest, Obama ignored them but had his democrat henchmen (Pelosi and Reid) describe them as “dangerous”, “astro-turf”, “uneducated” and “red necks.”  In early December, Harry Reid compared those Republicans opposed to ObamaCare as being reminiscent of "slave owners!"

Assuming Obama had been paying attention to what was going on in the world since September 11, 2001, one would have thought he could have at least assumed office with a solid grasp on the fact that there are Islamofacist extremists out there who want nothing more than to destroy our country. 

The  mantra of the liberal left has always  been that Muslims are angry at us because of Bush, Cheney, no blood for oil and all the other nonsense.  But The Obama, the "Chosen One",  was different. He would show the Muslim world understanding by denigrating America, lauding Islam and downgrading Christianity whenever possible. The Muslim world would turn on Islamists, bring peace to the world and a second run for office.

Well, first it was Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad's murderous June Jihad in Little Rock. Then we had Major Nasan and his Islamist butchery of dozens of our military in the name of Islam.  Obama did not address the first incident in Little Rock and as far as the Fort Hood terrorist attack was concerned, Obama warned us all not to jump to any conclusions simply becaue Major Hassan was a Muslim.
And now, as his first year in Office came to a close, on Christmas day a 23 year old Nigerian Muslim engineering student named Abdul Mudallah, attempted to blow several hundred people out of the sky above Detroit with his terrorist attack on Northwest Flight 253.  Obama remained strangely quiet about this incident for 3 days while he was vacationing in Hawaii but his Homeland Security Director Janet Napolitano quickly assured the American people that the “system worked!”

Finally, three days after the incident, Obama held a press conference in Hawaii and stated that his administration would not rest until those responsible for this bombing attempt were brought to justice. Obama then quickly returned to vacation mode and went golfing. He did not return to Washington until after the New Year!
